More experimenting with natural dye.
Some iron oxide to the mordant bath to strengthen some of the colours.
The above images are some of our results hanging on the clothes line. Such a perfect spring day. And the colours are so exciting.Cutch, Lac, Logwood and Madder. I have to say I really like the Cutch, a warm brown. I tried a scrap of Natural Tent Duck (not in the above images) and I was quite taken with the strength of the colour; I'll have to show it later.
The dye sessions are so much fun; just wish I had more pots and burners.
