This old barn no longer exists having been torn down shortly after I painted this. But I always loved the quiet peacefulness of this scene and how all the colours were harmonious and familiar. Winter has never been my favourite season, but I find as I get older, that what it has to offer can be found no other time.
That is a beautiful painting! And you must be very glad that you painted it seeing as it is now gone.
