I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had a small pocket of warm weather yesterday: so nice.
The last of the One of a Kind's 11 day show was yesterday. This is about 10 minutes before the doors opened. It was my one last chance to go around and see some of the show and have a little chat with some of the lovely people I've met.
This show has always given me a little buzz, mostly because there is so much inspiring work to see. Ideas don't usually come when you're alone in the studio day after day. They usually come from looking at the world we live in. It's an individual's eyes and sensibility that makes the work original and inspiring to others
and that in turn creates more original ideas. It's like a snowball, I guess, in that it starts off small but as it's rolled in the snow it becomes larger and builds upon itself.
