In the process of cleaning and straightening the studio it was inevitable that I'd come across work that had been "put away". This is a small textile book full of embroidery and my first tiny screen prints. The influence of animals, graphics, postcards and stamps is ever present.
The pages of this book are only about 4in. x 4in. (10cm. x 10cm.)
Some of the work was done during a road trip to Prince Edward Island and some of it was done at the park with "the girls".
Have a wonderful weekend
full of surprises
and discoveries
I remember these remarkable samplers of yours, a complete artform in every way. I am blown away by them!
ReplyDeleteNice work. Love the embroidery mixed with the screenprinting. Happy Hanukkah!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, the embroidery is so detailed, you must be very patient! Those tiny screenprints, did you use a photographic method to do these? I still haven't used my screen, it is about A3 and I can only see me doing paper stencils as I don't have access to other means at home. How do you do yours? Nothing detailed, but any pointers would be great! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so for the info, I thought it must be done that way. I love scrennprinting, have done so since I first did it aged 19!! I've been too busy to do anything with my screen, and I'm longing to have a go. I will get there! Thank-you.:)
