Having the girls with me all the time has allowed me to see and understand their anatomy so much better than what any photograph might lend. Even when I'm not looking for it, I inadvertently see how they move, the musculature and bone structure beneath all that fur. And I've come to know that without that skeletal reference and knowledge, a drawing will have a hard time being correct.
So every morning
before we go for our walk,
while I have my first coffee of the day,
I sit and draw them.
It has been a
rewarding practice.
Love their fluffy feet.
