Feodor Rojankovsky

"The Tall Book of Nursery Tales" pictures by F. Rojankovsky
There aren't nearly as many book stores as there used to be in Toronto. Most of our favourite ones have closed their doors. This is a sad change that has occurred as the result of technology. People buy their books on-line or they read them on tablets. A visual sensibility has no place in this age of technology. Art books and children's books have been thrown out with the bath water, if you get my meaning.

The other night we were out and about and wandered over to BMV. They have an amazing selection of books on all topics. But for me their children's books section is a strong attraction and this time they had shelves of vintage books. And that's how I found The Tall Book of Nursery Tales. I've written about Feodor Rojankovsky (1891-1970) before so I was quite excited to find this book.
