welcome to my art journal. 

My name is Barbara and I've been an artist all my life. I started as a children's book illustrator, moved on to selling my paintings and now, for the last few years, I've been screen printing my drawings onto textiles. In between  all that I've done various forms of needlework, rug hooking and natural dyeing. 

I live in an old brick house that was built back in 1899 and I work out of a small studio on the second floor. In the mornings before sunrise that's where I'll be with a cup of coffee and my two "girls", Roxy and Sonee. Every now and then you'll see pictures of them in my posts.

If I could change anything in my life it would be to travel more. When I'm gone, I never want to come back. It's no wonder then that I'm an artist. Doing my work allows me to "travel" in another way. I'm sure you know what I mean.
