I first saw Julie Liger-Bellair's work about three or four years ago at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. Her work has been likened to Terry Gilliam's animated pieces. I like that she has gotten into opening and closing doors to reveal aspects of the stories. It's an old trick, but it's very effective. I've used it as well:
