Sparrow-Avenue

This is a very old picture of one part of our family. It was taken in the '30's in Florida. Now, think about that as they're Canadian.  Their dad was the superintendent of production for York Knitting Mills (a division of Harvey Woods), where the Candy Factory Lofts are in Toronto. He had come over from Apulia when he was 18 without a word of English!

Received my first postcard from my postcrossing group. Shing Ying ("way too old at 15") in Singapore sent me this along with a story about her trip to Alberta and B.C.
