Natural Dye

I was looking over some of the Natural Dye I had done way over a year ago. This shoulder bag with my Right Whale was one I always loved. It was bought, along with a few other items, by someone living in California who was visiting.

These pouches are mostly dyed with Logwood over a tannin mordant. It would be nice to do the Natural Dye again. But one of the things that bothered me about it was the  huge amounts of water that were required, let alone the fuel for heating up that water.
