Wasn't that a lovely long awaited spring weekend!

Last week I hinted at a new drawing. These guys are so difficult to draw, even the well-known animal artists have been known to say that no one really knows what beavers look like. And how could you? They're either practically submerged in the water  or their thick fur and layers of fat all but obscure them! Anyway, I'm giving another go at it.

  1. I always love the way you do beavers. Love your use of white on black. There's such a kinship between muskrats and beavers. I used to see both on our pond. Like ravens and crows, they are similar but different.
