August

John Graves Simcoe
It is a civic holiday today: Simcoe Day named for John Graves Simcoe, the 1st Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada.  This, over the years, has become a rather "lost" fact. But a holiday is welcome no matter what.

I have a number of new drawings on the go. I had started some of them months ago because the coming year, 2014, is the Year of the Horse. It also marks 100 years since the War to End All Wars, WW I. It seems only appropriate, to me, to mark it in some way.
