Sparrows


The sparrows seem to have similar meal times and I was fortunate to get some closer images of them. I find the females are somewhat braver than the males. Is this my imagination?


Below the bird feeder is an old clawfoot tub. Through the summer, morning glories and sunflowers grow in it. But during the winter it serves quite well to catch discarded seeds.


Across the top of the tub I've placed an old wooden ladder. This serves to block Sonee from eating the seeds, (I don't know what she's thinking sometimes) but it also gives the birds some added protection.
