This is the gate that leads into my garden. Although it has seen better days, I do love the dilapidated-ness of it. In a few months it will look more like this:
The weather here, as I've mentioned a number of times these last few weeks, has been absolutely beautiful. So hard to believe that the cold will come and bring with it the winds and snow.
Anyway, never mind. Have you been cleaning out your garden, preparing for what's to come while it's so warm outside?
I spent one afternoon clearing out some of the tomatoe plants, lithrum and weeds that have grown amuck. I'm pleased to say that all of them put up very little resistence when i pulled with my right arm. I'm beginning to remind myself of the character in "The Cinderella Man" . Sounds like a strange thing to say, but if you know the story, you'll know what I mean.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I absolutely love that gate, I would leave it just the way it is. The more crooked and worn it looks the better. It brings visions of the old country, family, and a safe little home. I would take pictures of that gate and hang it all over my house, it truly is a piece of unique art that is too cool to ignore.
