It has been just over 10 days since the One of a Kind Show ended for 2014. It is a pretty intense time for exhibitors; their work is set up and on view for purchase by many of the people who support handmade. It is also a long show both in hours and days in an environment that is completely different from the seclusion and familiarity of the studio. It is also an important time from the point of view of the artist as it is one of the few times we have to actually meet and speak with the people who gravitate to our work. Through these conversations we are given the opportunity to see what we do through the eyes of others and thus learn even more about the subtlety of our visual expression.
