Precariousness of Winter

Sparrow Avenue "Fields" Owl pouch
This is the last of January, just about. For some reason, it feels like it was longer than most. The winters are somewhat precarious when there are elders in one's life. I don't know why, but difficult and trying times seem to happen in the winter. At night time too. Have you ever noticed that?

Roxy
Last year Roxy had her stroke. She's recovered remarkably since then. And for almost a year now I have been carrying her up and down the stairs, I don't know how many times-a-day. When there is some fresh snow on the ground she gets so excited and runs back and forth just like years ago. But her back end has been giving out every now and then. I wonder about the possibility of wheels?
