Most of the day the robin that set up home in our backyard was sending out a one note call. Not the usual trill that is associated with spring and not an alarm call either. But is was constant, a "flat tut" as my bird book describes it. After a while I started watching more closely and discovered the reason why.
What a coup to get so close!
