Just before the weekend started there was one of those terrific summer storms where the sky becomes so dark. The sort of storm where that blows in like a torrent and there is a deluge of rain with lots of thunder and lightning. The sky looks almost green and you watch it in fascination.
But for all the early bluster, it ended up just being a regular rain storm. Although by the looks of it: the dark grey skies with the sun still shining on the trees, it could have been quite theatrical.
