Graffiti

Rather than write about the production work I'm doing, I chose to show a bit of what we see when the girls and I go for our walks.
There are a lot of colourful graffiti murals in our neighbourhood. In 2011, Toronto's previous mayor chose to have these removed as he was of the opinion that they were unsightly.

The owness was on property owners, whose walls were painted unbeknownst to them,  to remove the work. It was an unfair and costly demand.

Since then and with a new mayor, the concept has been turned around somewhat. Money has been put aside for mural projects throughout the city. An interesting concept however, I think it misses the original intent of graffiti artists.

Good-bye September
