As the West Wood Evening Glows

This was a picture that hung in our house for many years. It is a picture my parents purchased at an auction. My dad loved it. He also loved the title of it and would often say it with a very slow melodic and deep voice. "As the West Wood Evening Glows". I've always wondered who painted it and recently I made the discovery. It was Joseph Farquharson, who actually painted many scenes such as this. Yes, it's very romantic, aside from the sheep having to dig for something to eat, but I have seen this evening sky many times and romantic or not, I like it.
