Loon

As promised, here is the finished Loon that I was working on and showed last week. The colour image in the corner is from a very old book: "Birds: A Guide to the Most Familiar American Birds",
first published in1949 with illustrations by James Gordon Irving. I think this one may make it to a screen.

    I definitely think that this will be a very popular subject! The feather pattern on the wings is beautifully done, but it's the head that caught my attention. Lovely!
