Sonee

Hope you had a lovely weekend. We finally had a bit of sun on Sunday which was really nice. This image of the lilacs, however, was taken when it had been loaded down with rain. Even so it was quite nice and I took a few pictures during our walks. ("Our" meaning "the girls" and myself)

A few days ago Sonee had a visit with the vet. Somehow she had managed to acquire something not even the vet could identity which was abscessing. You can just see where the vet had shaved away her ever so thick fur to remove the offending bits. She was put on a partial anesthetic in order to get all of the mess. I was adamant that she not be completely put under as I'm certain anesthetic messes with the brain.

We walked home slowly from the vet and she did well with that and so thankful to be away from there. When we arrived home I wanted her to rest. She eventually lay down and slept. But the partial anesthetic lasted the rest of the day, causing a lot of confusion and angst. 

She is recovering from the partial anesthetic in these pictures and is on antibiotics to prevent infection. Antibiotics, I'm sure you know can cause either constipation or diarrhea. Sonee picked the first symptom. But a bit of pumpkin in her food solved that problem. Now she's back to her old self, I'm happy to say.
