Sparrow Avenue, Bison mini pouch

The rugged and weathered look of the wood seems to suite my bison image. This drawing has turned out very well, I think, because he has a solid weight about him that I wanted to capture. 

When I saw these bison back in the early spring, I was taken by their powerful presence, their almost pre-historic timelessness and the way in which they claimed their woodland environment just by breathing, the warm vapour clouding up in the cold air.
