Weathered Wood / Woodland

Sparrow Avenue, Beaver Pillow
It has been as dull and cold as any November I've ever known. Can't say as I like it. Nevertheless, I took myself (and the girls) outside for a little photo shoot. No, there wasn't any indication that the sun would be out. In fact, it had been raining rather relentlessly (not a bad alliteration, if I do say so myself). You can see the wood boards in the background look damp. But I wanted the grey of the weathered wood as it sets the pillow off nicely.

Some weeks ago I was hemming and hawing about changing the back panel of the pillows. What do you think?

Sparrow Avenue, pillow back
This is a woodblock print from India and it's 100% cotton.

  1. I like it a lot. It's fresh and clean, and definitely classic and neutral. I think it would work in many decors.

Oh, and I really enjoyed seeing your bison photos yesterday. They're magnificent animals!
