After picking up some wood panels and lino blocks at Aboveground, I went to OCAD to see the Book Arts Fair and was delighted to see the Devil's Artisan there who represent Gerard Brender a Brandis.

This man is an amazing wood engraver. There is a distinction to be made between a wood engraving and a woodcut. Wood engravings are made with burins that are pushed through the end grain of a block of wood (preferably boxwood) but woodcuts are produced with knives and gouges on plank grain wood. At any rate, the best I can do are lino cuts.
